Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present

Hello, the name's Jessica. Just your average fangirl/blogger here. I'll be posting about my fandoms, okay? NOT A SPOILER FREE BLOG.
Day 3: The Order
There was only one mission James Potter ever went on without Lily.
Lily would never let him go alone again because she had almost lost him.
When Lily Evans woke on July 19, 1978, she felt as if a half of her was missing. He had just been there last night, the other half to her whole, but now she felt empty.
Always empty, like her other half would never come back.
He didn’t have time to write, but she hoped he was thinking of her, just as she was of him.
On the 31st, she got a strange letter.
'Evans,
Prongs is hurt. Come.
- Padfoot’
Lily had never left in such a hurry. “Potter, you stupid prat,” she mumbled as she ran down the halls of the hospital, going to his room (number 687) and fighting back tears the whole way.
Sirius and Frank Longbottom were standing outside his room when Lily arrived. “What’s happening?” she demanded.
"You can go in, Lily," Sirius whispered gravelly, impatiently wiping away tears..
She was loss for words. Lily had never seen Sirius so vulnerable. So instead of saying anything, she slipped in his room.
He looked so fragile lying there, his limbs set it various slings as they were probably mending from fractures. “James,” she whispered, her voice cracking.
"Hey," he murmured, smiling sadly. "C’mere."
Lily bit her lip, carefully walking closer.
"I’ll be okay," James said, wincing as he sat up slightly.
"Promise you won’t leave me?"
He smiled slightly. “Of course, I’ll be right here, Evans.”
"You better be, Potter," she replied, laughing softly as she wiped her eyes.
"Forever, Lily."
"And always, James."
